Fire Department...
Bishop International Airport's Fire and Rescue Squad is comprised of ten full-time employees, one of whom is a Lieutenant, and two part-time employees. The Director of Public Safety oversees the staff. Two or three individuals are on duty 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Ten of these firefighters are also trained as Emergency Medical Technicians or as Paramedics, and one is always on duty.
Trained to respond to any passenger or plane emergency, they will be on-site within minutes of notification.
