Bishop International Airport Authority (BIAA), which manages Flint Bishop Airport (FNT), is committed to helping the airport leadership team increase air service opportunities and foster economic growth in the region.
Flint Bishop is governed by a board appointed by the Genesee County Board of Commissioners and City of Flint. The nine board members make up the Airport Authority.
Nino Sapone graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Prior to coming to Flint Bishop International Airport, he worked for 26 years at Pittsburgh International Airport.
He is an Accredited Airport Executive and former President of the Northeast Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives. He currently serves on the AAAE Academic Relations, Operations, Safety and Emergency Planning, and Unmanned Aerial Systems committees.
Nino is results driven, qualified airport and business operations professional who productively leads diverse teams to new levels of success in a variety of highly complex situations and fast-paced environments. He possesses the proven ability to analyze organizational changing business needs; implement systems engineering strategies; identify deficiencies and potential opportunities; and develop innovative and cost-effective solutions for enhancing competitiveness, all while increasing revenues and improving customer service.
